Wynwood, a fun and colorful place to see and enjoy. Gone are the days when a vacation rarely ventured past Ocean Drive, and perhaps no neighborhood helped usher in this Miami new neighborhood and trendy arts district known as Wynwood. Known to its Puerto Rican residents, as Little San Juan or El Barrio. Wynwood has seen a surge of great places to enjoy.
In a matter of years, this tiny neighborhood went from warehouses and auto shops to the hottest galleries, bars, microbreweries, and restaurants in Miami.
Don’t be fooled. Wynwood is the constantly changing. From the art surrounding almost all the businesses to new stores popping up. You can take a self-guided walking tour and see the art created by local and international artists.
Where is Wynwood? Wynwood has two major sub-districts, the Wynwood Art District in northern Wynwood, and the Wynwood Fashion District along West 5th Avenue. Wynwood is roughly divided by North 20th Street to the south, I-195 to the north, I-95 to the west and the Florida East Coast Railway to the east.
